Paintings Drawings Video Constructions and New Media Shows
My landscape paintings and drawings are expressions of engineered structures contrasted by organic forces. In these landscapes, I feel all is natural and all is not natural. I am drawn to this visual contradiction. It is human nature to want to control our environment. This control is an illusion. In our daily lives this sense of permanency becomes visual white noise. We see want we want to see and hear what we want to hear. In my art, I seek to bring attention to this white noise and its ironic beauty.

Video construction is another aspect of my creative process. They vary from ready made assist using found objects, interdisciplinary; interacting still imagery with video and designed constructions made from raw materials. Using digital video and other electronic media this art has movement, sound and light. Marcel Duchamp from the early 20th century has inspired me to embrace the element of accident and the nature of its interactive experience.
